ah hah

Sorry, Heather, my Dordt account has been closed down. If you want to email me, try to decifer my address (I don't really want to just put the address on here because then it's much too easy to google): my first initial (m) my last name (denboer){all one word} at gmail dot com.

I would just put this in a comment, but I've switched to blogger beta, and the blog won't recognize me in the comment section any more. (Can we switch this blog to blogger beta?)

Hope you are all well.

For Margaret

Well, I tried to email my address but I only have your Dordt address and it got sent right back to me. I'm determined to get this done tonight since it's been sitting on my "to do" list on the fridge for at least 2 weeks.

Chris and I have a heap of weddings within about three weeks of each other this summer, all far away from us, so we still don't know where we will be traveling to and where we can't. But that being said, we're very happy for you and we hope you are surviving the wedding planning all right.

Finn and Sophie

It has been a while since I posted something so I thought it was about time I wrote. No we didn't have a kid or get a puppy (read on for that). Are any of you planning on coming out to Lindsay's wedding??? If so I can't wait to see you!

Brad and I have been busy over the last month. All my grad school applications (Portland State and AUC) are in and now I am playing the waiting game. Brad has applied to schools in Cairo and will be attending a job fair over presidents day weekend, hopefully it will go well. We are excited at the posibility of being in Egypt next year but are trying to be flexible and sensitive to God's calling on our life. So we wait and pray....if any of you think to pray for us we really need patience and wisdom. We are sure he has great things in store for us.

Other than applications we have been enjoying life. Brad has been enjoying teaching a lot and his kids think he is the best. Brad and I babysit a 2 year old (Finnegean) once a week for a single mom and he continues to entertain us, he is 2 and is in love with Brad. Him and I always have a discussion about who does Brad belong to, him or and we have settled on sharing him. The picture is him playing with my friend's puppy :-) This weekend we are off to Bend to see Brad's parents. That is another area you could be praying about, Brad and his dad's relationship has always been strained but it is particularly bad these days. I hope it will be a good weekend for all of us.

Happy Friday and have a great weekend. I have been thinking a lot about you all as I have spoken in a couple times in a class that is going to Egypt in May, we are even going over "Survival Arabic" booklet in a couple weeks.

love,
Emily
