did someone say the "r" word?
Marcia called for a post. So here it is. And yes, it is true, I'm dating someone. His name is Scott, and he's from Winnipeg--9 hours straight north from here. Looooooong distance. But quite a few of you know all about that, so I'm not going to complain. So far things are really good. I'm thinking about moving to Winnipeg temporarily in April, and he might possibly follow me wherever I move in the fall. Any questions?
Otherwise, life is good. I've been enjoying my break between college and a career--though I'm getting ready to be doing something again. Job applications are going out. I'm hoping for the West Coast--specifically the Vancouver area. Although there is a pretty sweet little school in New Mexico . . . .
If you Minneapolis folk come down, I will be gone the weekend of February 24. Otherwise, it's wide open. Andrew K has been talking about going up there (Minneapolis), too. So far it seems to be all talk. (Yes, Andrew, that is a challenge.)

wait. what is the "r" word? it can't be "post." Post doesn't have an r in it.
Questions, um, shoot yea:
what is he like?
how did you meet?
what are his views on climate change, syria's involvement in lebanon, and the alleged democracy deficit in the European Union?
Is he as amazingly witty, inarguably charming, lovely to be around, and strikingly good looking as you are?
just trying to make sure he is, to quote cecka, good enough for you.
but if you only have time to answer the first two for now that's okay. (and you might need to get to know him better for the sub-question about the EU, it's a tricky one.)
margaret, you have no idea how hard it is to get you AND dena to go on the same weekend. i've been wanting to go for a few weeks now:)
He's shy, but talks a lot when you get to know him. Incredibly intelligent, very perceptive, slightly anxious.
In a round about way we met at Dordt--friends of friends. But, um, ahem, we kind of got to know each other better because we both have blogs (his master plan to reel me in.)
I believe he has said these words: "bloody global warming." So I'm assuming he's against it (is that something you can be against?) We haven't discussed Syria/Lebannon/the EU yet. I'll let you know.
And yes, he is witty, charming, lovely to be around, and good looking. Definitely a good match.
And you, Chels? You're holding out on us. How did you fall from your pillar of old maidenhood?
Sorry Andrew. Pick a better weekend. :)
that's just it, i haven't been able to pick a weekend. i mean, i've picked every weekend but we three are just too darn poplier i guess.
I wish i could claim that i was the matchmaker here, but scott was only my roomate before i really knew margaret.
